Aim
Gain foundation knowledge in the
technology of life that underlies the whole course and initial practical
experience of how to apply it in daily life.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this module learners
will be able to explain and apply natural principles of life in a range of
daily life situations in order to solve problems and attain a more relaxed
attitude.
Elements and performance criteria
Element 1.Use energy to solve daily life problems/challenges.
Range: 3 problems
Performance criteria
1.1 Identify a problem or challenge and a desired outcome.Range: each problem/challenge should be from a different area of daily life experience. Examples include: - minor health problems, eg headache, sore throat, minor injury
- minor relationship problems, eg temporary misunderstanding, communication difficulty, disagreement
- minor financial challenge, eg need for small amount of extra cash for a specific purchase, small increase in salary
- minor emotional problems – homesickness, fear of new experiences
1.2 Use a technique to increase energy capacity.
Range: includes but is not limited to – relaxation, receiving positive energy, increasing awareness, exercise, lifestyle change, attitude change
1.3 Achieve desired or equivalent result.
Element 2.Explain processes and natural principles involved in solving problems.
Range: 3 problems
Performance criteria
2.1 Show how energy was used to solve the problem.
Range: must include but is not limited to – energy blockage is identified; way of receiving positive energy is identified; result is identified
2.2 Show any behaviour changes required to solve the problem.
Range: emotional, attitude, behaviour or lifestyle changes
2.3 Explain the specific keys to achieving a solution.
2.4Describe personal experience of energy during the process of solving problem.

Assessment
There are 3 summative assessments for this module.
1. Case study format for one problem/challenge.
2. Informal personal description (written or spoken) for one problem/challenge.
3. Formal report (written or other recordable media) for one problem/challenge.
All three assessments cover Elements 1 and 2.
